Exploring Venice was culinary bliss! Stopped by nearby Trattoria Al Gazzettino for yummy pasta, and Café Florian was perfect for a chic coffee break. The hotel's room was super clean.

Very romantic, welcoming atmosphere. Right behind St.Marco's square but in a quiet alley so the location is excellent. Our double room was spacious and adequately furnished. I'd suggest asking for a room overlooking the courtyard as there are also rooms with windows on the street/river which may carry more noise/odours.
Shared bathrooms/toilets (but many places in Venice are like this)

Would recommend for a momentary pause
Clean room, friendly staff, was a lovely touch to find complimentary slippers and a robe, and easy access to public transport makes it a convenient launch point to explore the city.

We stayed for 2 nights. Was a pleasant stay and the view from the window was lovely and it was so close to the attractions of st marks square and a short walk from rialto. There was plenty of room and good amount of storage. Good value though for the location.
The hotel was extremely dated which I know is to be expected in venice but it was just the fact the everything seemed frail and breakable(windows, doors etc) also the breakfast was only satisfactory with not much choice just cereal that tasted like cardboard and hard bread rolls.

This hotel is very close to Piazza San Marco and a variety of restaurants and shops are just a few steps away. Based right on a canal, so it is true that you can hear the serenades of gondolas going past. Staff were able to help with enquiries and recommendations. Overall a very clean place, and surprisingly comfortable.
We arrived at 12pm. We knew this was early, so we just went in and dropped our bags off and he told us to come back at 2pm. We ended up arriving at 1:55pm and he seemed quite put out that we were 5 minutes early, making a point of telling us that he told us to come back after 2pm. We found that a bit rude. Other than that, breakfast was very basic but that wasn't too much of a problem for us.

The location is sensational. So close to San Marco, the vaporettos, gondolas, shops, even only a short walk to the real Venice neighbourhood where a lot of the Biannale is held. (Definitely see some art.) On the whole the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had our own toilet and shower so our stay was better than some. Request room 6. Nice and quiet. Enjoy.
Lumpy pillows. Wifi in entrance, dining area or on couch on 1st floor, not in room. Breakfast a bit meager. One power point, in bathroom, so charging stuff is harder. walls are paper thin everywhere in Venice. This is my fourth Venice hotel, they're all full of flaws, which is part of the Venice experience. (charm?) All these things were minor, the lack of Mosquitos, the nearness to everything and the quietness of the room we had, made up for the little quibbles. It's Venice.
